And I don't know what I've done to me...

Romper- Forever 21, Jewelry- Body Central, Wine- Moscato... is there any other kind?! :)

I recently did a photo shoot with my bestest friend Jessi Lambert, who actually did my very first photo shoot last year called the sweater girl. She is so amazing at capturing the flaws you see everyday and turning them into something beautiful. She's all about natural beauty and emphasizing your "bad sides" in order to capture the raw essence of who your are. However, for this shoot we both wanted to step outside of our comfort zones and push boundaries a bit. I love boudoir shoots but they have started to all look the same to me. The girl is in some form of lingerie with gorgeous curly hair, natural make up in red or black stilettos either upside down with their legs in the air on their feet crossed laying on their stomach. And thats fine but everyone is or has done it so being the radical I am, I wanted to do something different. No lingerie but instead a floral romper, no curls but rather the opposite with grunge like straight hair, chunky gold statement jewelry in place of an understated strand of pearls and as for the make up, harsh and dark. I wanted it to look seedy motel room chic inspired by the "Live fast die young" motto and Jessi's holga couldn't have been more perfect for this. I'll have you know though only wine was responsible for this shoot and nothing else so please get those thoughts out of your head okay? It was just wine. Lots and lots of wine :) There's a part two to this shoot but I'm saving that for the next post! Wishing you guys a great week and for my Southerners out there Happy Mardi Gras! Much love and so many more thanks!!!

Her Hair is Harlow Gold, her Lips a Sweet Surprise

Hey Everyone,  I hope your weekend is going well. I'm sorry I've been somewhat MIA lately I've been going through some personal stuff and haven't really felt much like blogging or even leaving my bed so I've been mostly sleeping and waiting for this dark cloud over me to dissipate. I would really appreciate it if you would keep me in your prayers because I haven't felt this bad in a really long time and I'm not sure if it will subside on its own this time.  Anyway's no outfit post today because I wanted to share some of my favorite shots from my studio shoot with the amazing Perri Farlow, she is so talented and I'm so glad I got to work with her finally. You can check out all of gorgeous work here you won't be disappointed! :) Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and I pray you are in good spirits for a long time.
Much love and many more thanks

Dreams Unwind Loves a State of Mind

Kimono/Jumpsuit/Sunnies- Forever 21, Hat- ebay, Boots- Charlotte Russe, Jewelry- Body Central

Hi guys! How's your week going? Good? Great? Wishing it as over already? Yeah all that lol. Currently I'm obsessing over kimonos and jumpsuits. I was able to find the perfect long kimono at Forever 21 a few weeks ago. Thanks to their incredibly wide selection, I have one in every length now so, much love to Forever 21 for being so accommodating with their styles and options. Finding the perfect jumpsuit however wasn't as a great of an experience. After many many weeks of  cyber stalking forever 21 and succumbing to stage five clinger status with my daily "just wanted to see if they got some in and forgot to call me" calls, I was finally united with one. HALLELUJAH! I'm hoping as spring approaches it wont be that difficult to find one otherwise I'll have to resort to making my own (who am I kidding I can't sew!) Anyway's back to the purpose of this post, I decided to channel my inner hippie but add a bit of a rocker chic twist to the look by pairing my combat booties with it, a daring move but I had a good feeling I'd achieve the look I was going for and I was right! Let me know what you guys think of these pieces, would you wear them and if so how would you style it? Until next time, wishing you guys light love and happiness and sending many thanks!

Give to me your Leather, take from me my Lace

Jacket- H&M, Dress/Shirt/Hat- Forever 21, Boots/Necklace- Charlotte Russe

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I've been pretty busy with photo shoots and getting hired on at Express and I'm sure it's only going to get busier. However I promise I will be consistent with posts and lapses between posts will be no longer than a week at the most. Moving on, I had the lovely opportunity to shoot with Perri Farlow whom's work you can view here and I admire so much! She takes really beautiful photos emphasizing on natural lighting. She did such an amazing job I hope I get to work with her more in the future. Like I said in previous posts, I am really into leather and plaid right now. The fabrics mesh so well together and I was really against the whole shirt tied around the waist trend (too 1980's mom jeans) but now I'm finding myself more open to the look. How cute are these studded combat booties?! I don't own anything like them and I love the instant rugged look it gives to any outfit because sometimes I want the confidence of heels but the understatement of a boot plus they are mighty comfy. Hope everyone had a great Valentines day, I spent mine in my bed watching non related love movies and indulging in not one but two boxes of chocolate and I don't regret a thing lol Have a great week everyone until the next post, much love and even more thanks!

Plaid, Fur and Leather

Ashley and her friend Joshua were making laugh so hard glad she caught a candid of this!

Jacket- Target, Shirt and Hat- Forever 21, Skirt- H&M, Tights- Express, Booties- Ross, Purse- Steve Madden, Necklace and Ring- Charlotte Russe, Watch- Michael Kors, Sunnies- D&G

Greetings Lovelies! I hope your week is going well so far :) Today on the blog plaid and leather and fur OH MY! lol This was actually an outfit I had planned for the New York Fashion Week experience but since that didn't happen, I have been waiting for a chilly day to sport it. I'm really into fur and leather (faux) right now despite the fact that its almost spring lol I also really like the element of plaid and how you can dress it down or up with the right accessories. And how CUTE is this leather skirt?! I love it! Its such an edgy but feminine piece to have in your wardrobe and you can sport it fall through summer.
This was a really fun day, I haven't laughed that hard in long time so it was very much needed.

A big thank you to Ashley Nicole Simmons for taking these for me click here to set up a shoot with her or to see the rest of her awesome work! :)

Thanks for reading and the wonderful support as always! Wishing you all a great day! :)

A Little Black Dress and a Greatly Coveted Interview

Hat/Sunnies/Necklace- ebay, Dress- H&M, Vest- thrifted, Tights- Forever 21, Booties- Guess, Bag- Michael Kors, Ring- Charlotte Russe, Watch- Target

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a fabulous weekend :) The most exciting thing I did was watch Lost Girl with my good friend Jessi and hey, I am perfectly okay with that lol Any ways, today on the blog I am dressed for success because I have a very longly anticipated interview with Express! I have always loved their selection of clothing, its very sophisticated but at the same time trendy and versatile. I can always find something I love in that store whether it's a gorgeous fur vest or an edgy denim jacket, Express never ceases to disappoint me. Okay enough gushing, lets move on to the outfit details! When I go to an interview, I really like to stick with mostly black because it's not only professional looking but its effortlessly chic and not to mention the confidence you receive when wearing it. To break up some of the classic color, I paired it with an open grey sweater vest I thrifted from Yvonne's in down town Fairhope for $14 and my MK Gansevoort in the color luggage. Then to top it off, my beloved floppy hat for a personal touch and gold jewelry because I love the contrast of gold against black. I also think it just pulls the whole outfit together. Well, wish me luck! Hopefully by the next post I'll be the new girl at Express haha. Have a wonderful day all... until next time! :)
